GREAT SUCCES in St. Michalisdonn Airfield. The club, the people, the participants, the judges and not a least the lead organizer Norbert made it happen. BIG THANKS to all involved. VAWC is alive and kicking… and much more than a competition: Its a movement!
Looking forward to seeing you all at VAWC 2024 in Odense/Denmark 22-25 of August 2024. More info will follow.
This web page will be updated with results and pictures from VAWC 2023. Stay tuned. In the mean time, check out our FaceBook.

Dear all brave Vintage Aerobatic Pilots
I do hope that you all have entered 2023 with a smile and happy thoughts and vision about your vintage aerobatic flying in 2023…. not a least with intentions, or concrete plans for participating in VAWC 2023, assisting and/or socializing with us all in this great community.
In the weekend, just passed, we finalized a very positive agreement with the aeroclub management of St. Michalisdonn Airfield, northwest of Hamburg (EDXM).
The spirit of Norbert Schuldt and the aeroclub is quite outstanding, as is all the physical/practical elements.
We are all exited, and personally I will start up the process of updating the web-page with all relevant elements: Known Programs, contact details on Norbert’s Team, hotel information etc. etc. One core role is already decided: Contest Director will be Claus Cordes from Germany. Claus has been attending ALL VAWC competitions except 2022 in UK, and we are looking forward to seeing Claus in this important role.
Stay tuned for further information…
The brilliant location of EDXM will most likely result in many participating pilots in as well Vintage, Classic or Replica category. Ending this week, the registration format on the website should be ready for you to enlist. Please do not hesitate to long to register, since we have a limit of 35 pilots, in order not to end up with at too time-consuming competition. Please read the short intro-text from Norbert below.
Looking very much forward to seeing you all pilots, spouces, helpers, friends.
Looking forward to seeing you all in St. Michalisdonn Airfield
VAWC is getting ready
for the next exiting journey
After we developed the VAWC concept in 2016, we have really enjoyed the friendly success, and it seems that the concept really have hit a need in the aviation world. Hardy Vad (Denmark) put in in this way:
“ VAWC gives these fabulous old-timers a new sense of purpose, and do re-ignite their proud owners and pilots. VAWC unites the competitive and social SPIRIT and gives you personally a sense of going somewhere, rather than retreating ”
On top of participants from many European countries we have enjoyed participants and presence from New Zeeland, USA and South Africa and Australia, but growing VAWC into an ambition of a true World Championship we would like to give VAWC stronger reach, stronger wings so to speak.
